OUR PILATES 10 WEEK COURSE is taught at Beginners up to Intermediate level and is held on Tuesdays at 7.30pm at our DUNVANT venue.

Please note that the 10 week course is a pre-requisite to the Intermediate level classes, unless you have already been doing Pilates for a while.

At the core of Pilates is ‘awareness of your own body’ and every exercise is built around the following Principles:

·    Relaxation

·    Breathing

·    Concentration

·    Alignment

·    Flowing, continuous movements

·    Coordination

·    Centering from the ‘core’ ie abdominals, pelvis, spine and hips

·    Stamina

 

These principles ensure that the exercises remain challenging to both the body and the mind.

 

The 10 week course is limited in places so that that the class size is smaller. More time can be spent on individual technique and progress, getting to know your body and also relaxation techniques.

 

The course is designed to build up your strength and stamina through each week. We would also be able to work at a higher level if you are ready for this and introduce a wider range of exercises, although mastering the basics in the first instance is paramount in order to build up strength to be able to work at a higher level. Also you will get to know other participants as the same people will be attending throughout the duration of the course.
