Xmas Event 2008
Our Energize Xmas Bash 2008 was held at Dunvant Social Centre on Tuesday 16th Dec.
The event included a treat class double act between Shakila & Mandy: a combination of a Bollywood aerobics sample class and toning exercises using resistance bands, dumbells and matwork.
The Energize colour themed party which followed saw an Indian Buffet and free prize draw to add to the festive fun. Prizes received included Energize gift vouchers for free classes, the first ever Energize T shirts ‘hot off the press’; Books on Stretching and Toning, Mind and Body, Beauty, Personal Success; Indian Jewellery and some other quirky stuff.
The party also saw the launch of the 2 styles of our new Energize T shirts designed by Paula Maal. They will be available for purchase in January, details to follow.

END OF YEAR MESSAGE FROM ENERGIZE
Thank you to all those who attended our Energize Xmas Bash. We did miss those of you who sent last minute emails and texts saying you were unable to come afterall. Next year we will aim to make it earlier in December so as not to clash with school events and work do’s. Also a very special thank you to Judith Stanley for giving up your afternoon to help set up before the event. Thank you also to Zoe Gealy, Nia Davies, Bethan Evans, Michelle Brown, Paula & Bryony Maal, Mandy Stratton-Thomas, Dorothy Tahir, Nicci Southard-Stuart, Lisa Burrows and all those who stayed behind to tidy up, it was much appreciated! The mini Abba singalong, chat and cosy cappuccino together afterwards finished off the evening on a lovely note.
It was nice to see so many of us together for the last session of the season. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support and encouragement over the last 18 months. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer group of people and we’ve made a lot of friends along the way, making our job so much more worthwhile.
Things are looking very different to when we first started out back in April 2007, with just one instructor covering all the classes. Due to popular demand, we launched ‘Bollywood Fusion’ in April 2008, a phenomenon recognized by the glitz and glamour and energetic moves from Bollywood and Bhangra, resulting in a second class being added in Killay on Thursdays. We also launched our new website in September this year.
A very special thank you to our famous Mandy Stratton-Thomas who joined Energize also in September and has been ‘whipping’ our Aerobics & Body Toning class into shape with a vengeance ever since!
Everyone had the opportunity to finally meet Paula Maal at the party, our barmy Cardio-Kickboxing instructor, who hopefully will be returning shortly. As mentioned above, Paula has also designed our new look Energize logo and T shirts!
We also met Zoe Gealy, (to who we sang Happy Birthday!) who will be joining our instructors in 2009 to teach Aerobics, Cardio-Kick, Tone the Zone & Muscle Max and Bollywood Fusion! I am sure with all these new and varied workouts, personalities and experiences, we are set for a very interesting 2009!
Maybe we should hire a karaoke machine next year? Looking forward to hearing your ideas for next year’s bash! send in your ideas ………
